I really want my maids to wear black. I think it’s flattering to all their body types and skin tones and I fuigure I can get color in some how like a sash of some sort.
I also like pink but am wondering if doing the fushia and orange for the reception and flowers would look odd with black dresses?
Say – black table covers and chair covers with the bow/sash being pink or alternating pink/orange
Would the orange in the whole thing be too "Halloween"?
Should I make the main colors fushia and black and hints of orange as accents?
Any ohter pink orange gals out there??

I think if you maybe went with a tangerine/light orange, it would look nice. My friend did a hot pink/black wedding. It was really classy and yet very fun. Maybe, in order to avoid the Halloween vibe, you can have them wear both colors in the sashes or wherever.

I’ve seen this done. I almost went with the black dresses myself. But hot pink/orange/black really do work well. Depending on when your wedding is, you could get your girlies hot pink pashminas that would really pop against the black. I think you’re on the right track! "

I think it’ll work well. I went to a wedding a few weeks ago where the BMs wore black and had flowers in those colors – the blossoms really popped against the fabric, especially in the photos (like the one above).
