I just bought the Fanal, and am SO excited!!  I got it in the oyster color, and I thought this shade would look great with rich colors, so I’m going for deep reds, browns, and yellows.  What color did you get the Fanal in?

Wow!  That’s a beautiful location!  I think peachy colors would look really good with the decor and existing colors in the cathedral, and with the dress as well!

I think jewel tones in Spring would be beautiful (I might be biased because my bridesmaids wore a deep berry color)  But jewel tones would make your dress stand out in the church and in photos.

Do you have a favorite color/colors?

I just went through the Jim Hjelm site looking (quickly!) and I love the eggplant color – I think it’s so elegant (the short dress).  I also like other rich shades of purple and berry and they’re so easy to find flowers to complement them.

I also saved a few random pics of styles that I think would look beautiful with your dress…maybe in richer shades of purple?

(quiet friday afternoon here…) Wink

Oh good!  I’m glad you like them.  I went with dresses with straps since your gown is strapless – random preference but obviously doesn’t matter!

@mal65: Me too!! Its my wedding colours…i had me wedding in July. I think it would look great in May though and the two colours are very dramatic (the purple) but fun (green) at the same time…a great mix!

I’m going to suggest something that will be a bit controversial.  What about ivory or cream with an oyster sash.

Something like this would look so elegant and be completely unexpected.
