I always thought I was going to wear an ivory dress, but when I went dress shopping for the first time this weekend it turned out that the white looked best!
Unfortunately I have planned my entire wedding around raspberry/fuschia, ivory, and light gold. I am not a fan of mixing cool white with warm pink, I think its too much contrast. It will make the pink look red, its too much contrast, too harsh. I don’t want to rethink the color scheme. Is it terrible to have a white dress and my dress is the only white there? Also, I already bought ivory/creme pearl jewelry. Can I mix them? Ack. Advice please!!! 🙂

i actually think white is going to be better than an ivory dress, you will stand out and add a bit of a bright feeling to the surrounding and you wont blend in 🙂 and the ivory pearls will look awesome i would possibly try a gold shoe with that to accent the gold in the reception! i think they are beautiful colors! i love that idea i think u will be gorgeous

Dude, you are going to look awesome! It does NOT matter that your dress will be the only white detail there.

yeah – you are totally good with a white dress. you will look fantastic!
my colors are ivory, pink and gold too! but guess what? the groomsmen are wearing navy ties with pink stripes b/c they looked the best with their tan suits (bridesmaids are wearing pink), and our invitations are a spring green for our june wedding on a farm. so now my colors are ivory, pink, gold, navy and green!! the reception (barn) will just be decorated in ivory, pink gold and we will pull in the green with some rosemary topiaries. there are no rules on <span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”text-decoration: underline”>everything matching.

Thanks everyone 🙂 I think this will work out then. Maybe this way I won’t blend in with the table linens, haha!

Champagne pink, champagne, and ivory are my colors, close to yours. I’m in a diamond white dress. Ivory is sort of classic, and i think it brings it all together nicely, but i love having the white dress b/c the bride really pops.
You do’nt wanna blend in!

I definitely think this will look great. I don’t think the color of your dress will clash at all. I love the combination of the fuschia and gold–very cheerful and unique. 🙂

Hmm, I agree the white will most likely be fine. But have you thought about dying your dress? If it was really expensive you might not want to risk it. But I have heard you can make white garments ivory by soaking them in black tea. You might wanna look into it!

I agree, the white dress doesn’t have to match all the decor exactly. It will look great!

I think the lighting will have a greater effect on your shade of white or pink than the juxtaposition of your dress against the tablecloth. If you like the white dress, get it. You’re obsessed with colors now, but on the day of, your dress and how you feel in it will probably beat out colors for headspace.
Your color scheme rocks–very classy, by the way.
