So my wedding isn’t for a couple years but I’m in school so planning is sort of crucial early. Anyway, my FH and I love the idea of having an October wedding but we would also love to have purple and blue as our main colors and I’m just not sure how to incorporate them in. I’m open to every shade of purple (but I don’t like wine colored or anything with a red hue) and blue is almost definitely cobalt.
Does anyone have any ideas for incorporting these colors but still making it feel autumny, or if you have other suggestions I’m more than happy to hear them 🙂

I think those colors sound fine for October. My wedding is in mid September and I’m doing pastels. I don’t care, and I can’t honestly think for the life of me that any of my guests will. Go with the colors you want. Hate to break it to you though, but unless you are super decisive you all will probably change your minds anyway as things get closer. : ) So many factors come into play as you get into the nitty gritty of planning. Always keep in mind it is YOUR wedding and noone will everyone fully have the same exact vision for it that you do. So do what you want!

I wouldn’t change colors or seasons – don’t worry about it!!

Don’t change it if that’s what you really want! Who cares if your colors aren’t “seasonal?” Mine aren’t either. Just got with it!

Purple and blue are totally fine. You don’t have to express the season through your color scheme if you don’t want to! If you want to feel a bit autumnal without having reds and oranges, I vote for golds and browns for some accent colors — kind of like wheat and wood, which are very autumnal. Those colors would look lovely with purple and blue.

Thanks so much everyone for the feedback!
It’s good to know that it’s ok to incorporate any color into any season, regardless if it’s “seasonal”.
HisNightOwl2014, thank you so much for the pictures, they’re definitely going onto my inspiration board 🙂
Again, thanks everyone!
