hi guys, i’m having my reception in this ballroom and wanted your opinion on wedding colors. originally we were going for red and gold as this is an asian inspried wedding. do yu think those colrs are too strong? i was thinking of ivory pintuck table cloths instead with red or pink accents.. but i also love blue… opinions? thanks!

A dark navy would really look great in that venue, very regal looking.

I think if you played up the red and played down the gold, those would work fine. On the other hand, if you used purple as a main color it would contrast nicely with the yellow/gold walls, since they are opposite each other on the color wheel. I think purple with red accents would look great, always been a fan of that color combo but it’s not used much. Would help make your wedding more unique– I love red/gold also but it’s used pretty often in asian-themed weddings.

I think if you kept red to something like the flowers.. (red roses would look beautiful here!) That everything would look great with the ivory (or even better.. champagne) table cloths.. I think it would be hard to ignore all the gold in the room so you should prob embrace it.. red and gold is always lovely and still very asian inspired.

I think the red would be beautiful. Bold and regal.
If not red, I would go with another jewel sort of color (red, blue, green, purple, etc.) to go with the regal look of the room.

I second the any jewel tone comment… Red would be fine.
