Girls, I have a situation in which I need an honest opinion! We are planning an outdoor wedding next to a river and the downtown area. There are bike trails and a newer, rustic celebration center, a park for the kiddos nearby, etc. I originally though of doing vintage pastels, but have always admired metallics, so thought I’d mix a bit of vintage with a bit of glam. My color inspiration is below. The wedding will also be in the fall, so I thought a mix of gold with shades of ivory and a touch of some darker colors would be acceptable. My finace’s brother is married to a quite opinionated woman who said I have ADHD and need to narrow it down. In your opinion, is this color scheme unacceptable for a park or too tacky? I thought it was pretty until she crushed my spirit. Haha Thanks so much!

@JKStover: Gold/Bronze, Ivory, and Navy?? Love it!!!
Don’t listen to her. I have found that the best thing to do around those type of people is keep your mouth shut or you will be up all night doubting yourself. I think those colors are perfect for the fall and will go really well with an outdoor/rustic setting 🙂

What’s wrong with this? I see copper, ivory, gray and navy…just different variations. There is nothing with it, in terms of it matching.
This all being said, I would have ONE bright color because all of those are neutral. I would choose a blue red, peachy pink, apricot, orange, citron (bright yellow-green)…something like that. I think you need at least one color to pop. I would personally make that my flowers…

Love it!!!! Neuturals are rustic and the navy will bring it out more. What about adding blush? peachy to it or like a rusty color in the orange field.
