Hey girl, sounds like you need some alone time to destress and relax for awhile! And you are not crazy – I think EVERYONE must get stressed in the last month before their wedding – mine is on November 10th and I’m starting to feel the stress big-time.

My advice is to trust your planner. Sounds like she’s great! I am sure that she has planned an amazing day for you, and I guarantee you that she’s thought of all of the details – that’s their specialty 🙂  Remember, if you and your fiance end up married at the end of the day, it’s a successful wedding! That is the most important thing!! Since your fiance has been working so much, I am sure the wedding day will be an amazing time for you two to relax and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Here are some things you could do to relax and take your mind off the wedding:

-Go get a manicure/pedicure. Or get a massage, if you can afford it!

-Watch some reality TV and eat some ice cream. ALWAYS makes me feel better!

-Take a hot bubble bath.

-Go for a walk with your fiance or someone special. The weather’s been great this week in Houston – go to Hermann Park or somewhere nice and just go for a walk.

-Pick up a trashy celebrity magazine at the grocery store, lay on your sofa, and just enjoy reading about other people’s drama.

-Go out for a nice meal with your fiance. It doesn’t have to be expensive – just somewhere romantic and cozy, where you can enjoy each other. And don’t talk about the wedding all night!

-You are going for a honeymoon? Look at pictures online of the place you’re going! If you feel like it, research things to do there! We’re going to Australia and New Zealand and I LOVE looking at photos of those places.

I’m sure your wedding will be beautiful, and when it’s over you’ll have to share photos with us! Welcome to Houston, and welcome to Weddingbee! 🙂

My wedding is the day before yours and I understand that it is stressful but try to calm down. Being negative with others and yourself is going to ruin things. Take it day by day, step by step. Make a list, do things one by one….and keep it simple. My list looked something like:

-rsvp/guest list
-bridesmaid attire
-groomsmen attire
-ceremony music
-reception music
-escort cards/table numbers
-wedding favors
-food menus
-seating chart
-wedding cake
-guest book

try to work on one thing at a time and get everything done EARLY so that the last few weeks or so you can focus on your dress, hair, makeup, earrings, bracelet, shoes, etc.

Do you have a maid of honor who can assist you in some of these things? Mine was a life-saver, she’s also my BFF and it helped alot.

@YasM:  Aww good it sounds like you have a good plan, have some “girl time” and don’t worry if everything on the to-do list doesn’t get done! What venue are you getting married at? And where are you from originally? I would LOVE to go to Brazil and Argentina, those are high on our list of places to go!!

My Fiance and I both live in the Museum District in Houston. That’s why I recommended that you go to Hermann Park, I go there all the time, it’s so nice!

Agree with PP and also just want to chime in you are perfectly normal! People kept asking me if I was excited and wasn’t wedding planning squealll! So much funnnn! No. For a lot us it was nerve-wracking and aggravating, no matter how much we wanted to marry Fiance. You are doing all the right things and it will end up wonderful, but stressed out is not crazy. Hugs!
