I’m in SoCal also and I’ve heard they typically start at about 10-15% of your budget – so I’m really curious to see what everyone posts!

ETA: oops…i kind of missed that this was for a “day of coordinator” and thought it was for a regular start to finish one! sorry!

I did a bit of research before I chose my DOC, but many were in the $1000 range.  The lowest I saw was $800, which I booked and the highest being $2500!!

If it’s just a day of coordinator you are looking for they shouldn’t charge a certain %, I think that would be for full wedding planning services.

What I get for $800 is correspondance anytime between now and the wedding, all the details for the final month leading up to the wedding, a rehearsal and the actual day of coordination.

Ours was $1800 and she was worth every penny.  I met with a lot that ranged from $800 to $2500 and picked the one I was most comfortable with and had the most confidence in.  And she and her team did a fabulous job.

For just a day of coordinator I’ve seen them starting around $300-400 in So Cal.  I’ve seen them as high as $1000, the venue I’m working with has one that charges $600 for the day.
