Were aiming for $35k before the honeymoon. It’s more than I wanted but its scary how quickly things add up and all the little things you forget. But that budget includes everything (even tux rentals and bridesmaids dresses for the bridal party, rehearsal dinner and day after brunch) except the honeymoon.

Were putting in 10-15k and both our parents are putting in 10k.

Total is about 50K, but parents helped out with about 10K. This includes EVERYTHING wedding related.

Weddings near DC are expensive, and we are inviting 160 people, praying that only 130 are able to come.

12 guests, about $5K. Includes wedding rings, hair/nails/make-up/spray tan, flowers, food/bev minimum and fees at our restaurant, officiant, invitations, dress/alterations, and photography. This is in Atlanta, and way more than we expected to spend for such a small wedding.

mrsrekraps22:  Ha thanks! It should be fun. It will be a very big wedding! We knew it’d be expensive going in so we’ve cut costs in a few different areas. For instance, we’re not doing a live band. My dress, veil, and shoes were expensive but my jewelry was very inexpesive. And our venue only allows beer and wine, so not paying for hard liquor will save A TON. It’s fun to splurge on some things but it also feels good to save in some areas 🙂

Fiance and I are paying for it all and we must have lived in dreamland Ontario when we started planning with a $30k budget… then we actually researched the types of venues we were looking for in our area and the budget quickly became $40k. In the end, I’ll be lucky if we could do it all for $50k (not including wardrobe or honeymoon).

We are paying for everything ourselves and I expect the total to be between $36k and $40k.

My parents are helping with little extras but we didn’t want to burden either of our parents with costs (both families are retired and don’t need the extra financial stress).

we have budgeted and saved and have payment agreements with a lot of our vendors so, so far it’s been manageable especially since we are both picking up a lot of extra work.

$35-40K including honeymoon. I’m from outside of Boston. Its gonna be a plated dinner with about 95 guests, and we’re going to Europe for 2 weeks for our honeymoon (if this helps you put the $$ into perspective).

Originally we had about a 10k budget but it’s looking more like 12-13ish. Our problem has been the stuff thats important to spend money on for me is stuff he could so without & vice versa. So we’re not hardcore saving anywhere lol. I wanted to do a small cake for us to cut & then just serve sheet cakes for example. That was a nope for him. Things we COULD have done to save so far has been cutting out save the dates & just doing like a paperlist post or even just a heads up email to those out of town guests, gone through somewhere like vista print for our invites (but we did get 30% off from wedding paper divas), done the cake thing like I wanted, I could do my own hair and makeup but I’m not lol, gone with the cheaper less experienced photographer. So there are places to save but hey you only get married once right? That’s what I keep telling myself.

Our wedding is still over a year away but our bill for the venue so far is 11k. Id say the wedding will be in total for everything closer to the 17-20k side.

Not including rings or honeymoon we are looking at about $15k, we were trying to stay as close to $10k as possible but with 160 ppl even $15k is very minimal on extra touches. I am counting every last thing though, tallying trips to the craft supply store, postage, etc.

Our goal for everything sans Honeymoon and our rings is <$20k.
