5000. We have less than forty guests planned for the US ceremony. We got good deals on venue since his mom is a member of the clubhouse. FI’s stepmom is catering for us for free (her food is amazing). I diy’d decorations. Most expensive aspect thus far was the ceremonial jewelry.

Total, not including engagement ring, is looking to be just under 30k. Our parents are gifting us a couple of things (wedding dress and veil; cake; arch for the ceremony) so our cost is a bit less. We have invited 115 guests. Having it on a Friday evening to save some money, but the bills just keep growing :-\

Honeymoon will probably run us another 4k.

WAY more than I originally wanted to spend, but we’re in too far now! Also, my fiance has been surprisingly vocal on certain [pricy] aspects, so that was unexpectedly adding to the cost haha. Who knew a grown man would have such strong feelings on uplighting?!

7-8k not including rings clothes or honeymoon costs. We are having a destination wedding in Maui for about 20 people. We could likely have had it for 25-30 for same price.

I’m shuddering reading the past comments! I live in Silicon Valley

and plan to pay $12-14k for 100 people. It is possible! We are paying for it all ourselves. Original budget was $10k. Rings and honeymoon Not included

Venue $200 ($100 refundable deposit PAID)

Officiant $150 ($100 PAID)

License $20 (getting court married months before ceremony in our home state)

Passports $60 (cards not book for both of us)

Honeymoon Cruise $900

Gas $200 ( we are driving since Tampa airport has lost our luggage before)

Suit $904 ( TWO suits, he couldn’t decide lol) PAID

Dress $1170 PAID

Salon $0 (mother is paying hair & airbrush makeup $185)

Flowers $0 (mother is creating and paying for $50 tops )

Photos $200 (for 2 hours) PAID

Spending $700

Violinist $175 (87.50 PAID)

Total $4679

Just to give anyone an idea of how cheap you can get everything. We rather spend money on ourselves to have a good time. It’s about us being together not making the family we never talk to or even really like happy. We live in indiana but we used to live in Florida and my parents are still there so that helps with not having the cost of a hotel. Only been engaged for barely a month everything is booked and most important things are paid or deposits are covered. my math may be a bit off but even if my mother wasnt helping with a few thing we’d still be under $5,000! So I think it’s completely insane how much people blow on their wedding. Everyone is different and has their priorities though I guess

Oh and my bad!! If you include ring cost as well I guess that’ll shoot up the total cost. My ring was about $4,000 and his was about $300 but those are forever, not one day like everything else. 🙂
