We’re Aug 2017 but here’s where we are now. We’re budgeting around $30-35k but I’m already nervous we’re going to be over. Everything in bold is what we’ve already paid for, stuff not in bold is what we’re budgeting! Some things are also not included in the 30-35 because we’re going to pay for that ourselves.

Full-Service Planner – $5500

Venue – $7000

Food/drink/cake – $7500 / $2800 / $360

Dress/alterations/accessories – $5500 / $650 / $200

DJ/Band – $1400

Ceremony music – $0

Hair/makeup – no clue

Decor/floral – $4000

Photography/videography – $3800 / $2500

Rentals – $700

Groom’s attire – $250

Bridesmaid/groomsmen gifts – $1000

Officiant – $100

Rehearsal dinner – $2000 (FI’s parents paying)

108 confirmed in Southern California. Original ideal budget $20k or so, after realizing area and wedding we wanted $25-30k, actual $24,200 not including honeymoon. Crazy, I look at this and we totally went reasonable on some things but adds up quick and fast!! My breakdown:

Venue: $13,200 (ceremony, reception, staff, linens, food, open bar)

Day of Coordinator: $450 (friend’s SIL, required by venue)

DJ/Lighting: $1,200

Flowers: $2,100

Photographer: $3,500 (plus engagement session)

Decor: $635 (DIY, signs, guest table, sweetheart)

Photobooth: $237 (DIY for lights, printer, paper, etc)

Cake: $207 (venue allows outside desserts, cheaper this way)

Dessert bar: $208

Beauty: $230 (whitestrips and hair extensions)

Makeup/Hair: $375 (with engagement trial)

Dress/Alterations: $440

Accessories bride/groom: $275 (his suit so belt, robe, pocket square, tie, my shoes, replate my ring)

Invitations/Thank You/Stamps/License: $307 (Graphic design free from friend, just paid for materials and cute and cheap Thank You cards from Walmart)

Tips for ALL vendors: $1,360

Officiant: Free (friend ordained online, gave him gc – but not in our total)

Bridesmaids/Groomsmen gifts: None so $0

Wedding bands: $0 (got mine with engagement 2-3 yrs ago, his brother bought his from Overstock for less than $50)
