the cost per person is inclusive of the labor, food and gratuity, typically. however, bar fees and liqur fees are often seperate.

CPP at my venue is $80 (but $110 after gratuity and tax). This is for the venue, ceremony fee, cocktail hour appetizers, dinner, cake, and open bar. My venue is an inclusive package and we are charged that amount per person attending.

FrenchToastnCoffee :  Our venue charges PP, and it’s $99/person – that includes the venue for the entire day, all rentals for ceremony and recpetion, appetizers, dinner/serving/cleanup, and cake cutting.  It does not include other things required by the vendor – insurance, security, and DOC-, or the fun things – the cake, flowers, alcohol/bartender, and DJ. So, factoring all the extras in makes it closer to $130/person.

FrenchToastnCoffee :  Our CPP is the cost for food, venue, cocktail hour, open bar, servers, bartenders, linens, tables, chairs, china, cake, tax, and gratuity.

I do not include the full cost including DJ, florals, photographer, photo booth, attire, gifts, … those are all extras.

My CPP is $90. If I added the other costs my CPP would be more like $215

If we’re only counting catered food and drinks w/ servers taxes and gratuity its $36.80 pp for 45 guests. If we included the whole shebang ~ dress, photographer, music, suits, food, drinks, venue rentals etc., its roughly $123 pp.

For us, when we add up every dollar that’s been spent on our wedding, including honeymoon, divided by the number of people we’re expecting, we’re looking at about $400 per person. However, with just the venue’s per person charge for food, drink and gratuity, were at $180. When I think of the cost per person, I really only thing of the number the venue is charging us, because we’d be paying the same for a DJ if there were 10 people or 1000. Same with even flowers, there would be a change in the number of centerpieces, but the number of bouquets and boutinierres is the same.

We added everything and divided by the amount of guests. No one ever asked us how much we were spending per person though….

FrenchToastnCoffee :  Honestly, I don’t know the proper answer. Nobody besides my parents who are financially contributing have asked for the cost.

FrenchToastnCoffee :  I think the only person that would ask is your sister or people on the bee.

If I was asked I would give the venue cost not the cost of everything else I’m spending (flowers, dj, photogprager, etc.)

At the venue, it was $135 pp for adults 21+, “kids” ages 14-20 were $120, and kids under 13 and vendors were $67.50. Venue included a lot of stuff like an open bar, cake, food, linens, uplighting, taxes/fees, etc. (169 guests and 7 vendors later……) Including all the other vendors such as transportation, photo/video, flowers, DJ, etc, and not including stuff like my dress, honeymoon, or the gratuity we gave to our vendors: It came out to be about $260 per person including vendor meals.
