(Closed) Wedding cupcakes?

I’m doing cupcakes! It’s the only way to avoid paying a $3/person cake cutting fee – the coordinator suggested cupcakes and letting people just grab one from the table after cutting one (or a small cake).

I think white icing looks classy, and especially when it’s swirled to look like roses!

I actually baked cupcakes for a sorority sister’s wedding! I am not a pro, so I did 200 cupcakes for $400, so they are a very affordable option! I love the rose frosting PP mentioned, it’s so pretty (and easy to do!). But there’s something about frosting that’s piled high. I also recommend getting pretty wrappers to go around the cupcakes (not the paper liners, but something decorative). Here are some I baked for my best friend’s bridal shower, so you get an idea of what I mean!

We’re doing cupcakes and a very small 6″ cake with a cute topper so we have something to cut into!  We’re going to display them on a few different stands of different heights. It’s cheaper but will still look pretty and taste good!

We are doing cupcakes with a 6″ topper cake. It is by far the way to go!! Ours for 150 people is $220!! Including delivery fee. And we are having 5 different flavors and some gluten free which is always more expensive. For 150 guest we were looking at $500 minimun for a cake.

We’re doing cupcakes! We are going through JoJo’s gourmet cupcakes. Many places like them will work with you to create frosting that matches your wedding colors, while retaining the flavor you pick. They recommend 1.5 cupcakes per guest. They should also be able to provide a more formal looking cupcake stand to display the cupcakes. Since our wedding is in the fall, we are picking “fall/halloween themed flavors” like Pumpkin, Smores, Red Velvet, Chocolate Peanut Butter Explosion, etc. I recommend doing flavors to match whatever theme you have going. And a beautiful stand could make all the difference 🙂

Just make sure they are kept separately. At a friends wedding someone took one before the “cake cutting” and half of them were eaten in about 5 min before the planner stopped people
