So I am wanting to get my cupcakes from my local Sams club due to cost. I am thinking 120 cupcakes. I just want to make sure there is plenty for everyone because we will have a few children at the wedding.
This is a May 11 outside wedding at 2:30 in the afternoon. I’m wondering if the buttercream icing will hold up better in the heat.
Also, do you think it would be alright to pick them up the day before and just leave them in the fridge until they need to be placed at the reception?
Thanks for the help!

@NeoMatrix406: Sounds good. If you have a fridge big enough to hold that many cupcakes, I think it would work.

I like SAMs club cakes and cupcakes. Definitely go with the buttercream. It is fine to pick them up a day or two ahead of time and store in the fridge. I have done this plenty of times.

LOVE the idea of cupcakes at a wedding. I’m having them at mine, and to make it a bit easier I’ve made a sign for the flavors. Just a suggestion if you’re having quite a few. I do quite a bit of baking myself, how hot is it going to be outside? buttercream can go an ugly consistancy.
This is a pic of my cupcake sign, might be something you’d want at yours:
