You are never going to please everyone. Any date you pick there will be some conflict and people won’t be able to make it. On my date for example, my friend found out that she is a bridemaid for another one of her friends and didn’t realize both our weddings were the same day. It is sad but things happen. My cousin could be having his hips replaced that day as well.  I have no idea but I am not going to change my day because it is meaningful to Fiance and I and we are the ones who matter on that day. As selfish as that sounds.

I mean you still have some time. If you want to change it for yourselves then I say go for it. But if you are changing it to please other people, you have to realize there is no way to please everyone.

I personally say pick whatever date you want, but if you’re seriously considering October 6th, I don’t think that it being a “Holiday” would be an issue… Do people even get time off work for it? I don’t ever remember having time off for Columbus Day, but maybe that’s just in our area?
