A bit of history: I asked my SO to marry me in September but I’m waiting on a return ring early next year to make things “official” as it were, and then we’re waiting for him to get a job as a graphic designer before we start really planning a wedding.
So last night we were at dinner and I asked him if ‘hypothetically’ he got a job between now and March of next year when would he like to get married. He asked me what I thought, and I picked September out of thin air. (I was mostly thinking it was after ‘wedding season’ here and therefore cheaper.) He said that’s what he was thinking as well.
This morning I checked my calender and the day that I proposed to him on falls on a Saturday next year! Now I’m really hoping everything works out so I can marry him on the day I asked him to spend the rest of his life with me. 😀

Sweet! But if you’re thinking cheap or not busy, September is not the month. Depending on what part of the country your wedding is, September is either THE most popular wedding month or #s 2, 3, or 4 on the month list.
It seems now the only off months are Dec-March. So plan it for September and don’t worry if its wedding season or not!

Thanks everyone! I’m really hoping everything works out.
@Roe: I live in Virginia which gets pretty weather until the end of October, so September is going to more expensive than Dec-March, but it seems like we still adhere to wedding season being May-August for some reason.
I’m sort of kicking myself though because we’ll probably get engaged in Jan-Feb and I’m planning on DIYing most of my wedding. Not enough time!
(Shh… Don’t tell the SO I’m collecting supplies now. lol)

Aw, that would be really sweet if you could get married on the same day!
(And don’t worry – we won’t tell 🙂 I think many of us are doing the same thing. I have started making yarn pom-poms “just for fun” – heh.)

@Miss.PeanutButter: I should start crocheting flowers after the holiday season ends. I have soo many holiday projects. I’m kinda regretting that now.
