georgiapeach13 :  I used too faced born this way foundation, it’s a medium to full coverage foundation and it’s a little dewy so it made my skin look really moisuturized and glowing!

Get a good pore-filling primer! A lot of people like the Porefessional from Benefit.  I like the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer more though, but any silicone based will do!

My go-tos for all day foundation are the Estee Lauder Doublewear for full coverage and the Too Faced Peach Perfect if I want more of a lighter coverage. If you want to look more dewy, the It Cosmetics CC cream is also nice, but may have flashback due to the sunscreen so you’d want to test that!

georgiapeach13 :  If you have sensitive skin or are not used to foundation, I can’t recommend the Too Faced Born This Way foundation – I found it heavy and damaging to skin tone and texture. Your plan to try out different samples is a good one. Are you getting your makeup done professionally? That is an option to consider especially if you are not as practiced with makeup.

I used Laura Mercier Flawless Lumiere Radience – Perfecting Foundation. I never wear foundation, and I didn’t want something wtih a matte finish. My MUA suggested this one and I was color matched in Sephora. It stayed all day and I didn’t feel like I had any foundation on at all! And the pictures turned out amazing!

FYI, my mom went in to get color matched and got a sample. She used that sample for a week, they gave her so much! She wears foundation all the time, so she bought a bottle, but since I never wear it, I wish I would have just gotten the sample, it would have lasted through the trial and the wedding day! (AKA the only two times I have worn it)

anonymousbee001 :  Can I select the foundation if I hire a professional for wedding makeup?

Laura mercier tinted moisturizer (oil free). Don’t be fooled by its name, it’s a medium coverage foundation (best applied with a sponge/beauty blender). I’m not much of a foundation wearer either and this was perfect for my summer wedding since it has a little spf in it. Looked great on photos, very natural and no touch ups needed.

In case you didn’t know, sephora has an excellent return policy so don’t be afraid of buying and trying stuff. Plus you can literally get any sample you want from the store. This should make things easier.

hilda47 :  Not sure – it’s worth calling and asking.

Also, as far as recommendations, NARS tinted moisturizer and Kosa’s tinted face oil are both great (NARS is a little more coverage than Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer, but a similar finish). You can also look into serum foundations which are lighter. In general you want to consider the finish and coverage you want, and if the foundation has your shade, as foundation looks best when the color match is closest. When I look at reviews, in additional to the most recent, I also look at the worst and see if the problems mentioned are ones I routinely encounter.

Karima McKimmie has a video on photogenic foundations I believe. But my favorite hands down is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk! Though it is not full coverage so keep that in mind.

georgiapeach13 :  It’s quite possible it would work for you. Foundation is really personal. Unfortunately, in my case it caused breakouts and I suspect slowed/prevented healing of existing breakouts.

Also, since it’s a longer day, you also should consider a primer and setting spray.

dobby98 :  I’ve heard great things about that one.

Do not use anything with SPF or silica as they cause flashback in photos (when a flash is used) and you will look like Casper the Friendly Ghost.
