I like clinique’s even better foundation.  It has spf and great lightweight coverage.  Despite being so lightweight, I used it to cover up a sunburn on my nose.  My girlfriends didn’t believe I was wearing makeup,  nor that I had a sunburn at all. Test passed.

Revlon Colorstay, tarte Amazonian Clay, elf Acne fighting foundation, & Estee Lauder doublewear. All super high coverage, matte, & long wearing. Estee Lauder is your best bet. Great shade range, the highest coverage, someone can help match you, and you can even try sample sizes at a counter. The elf one is pretty much waterproof with the second highest coverage, but their shade range is very very limited & only online. Revlon is available everywhere but can rub off on clothes if you’re hugging a lot. Tarte looks like skin, but is medium to buildable coverage so it won’t cover heavy discoloration. I’d suggest you look up shaaanxo or emilynoel83 on youtube for foundation reviews.

Mac Products have been the best I have worked with professionally. It looked flawless in an intimate nightclub setting and didn’t smudge when used by synchronized swimmers. I’m not a big make up girl so I’m not as familiar with the other products

HG concealer is by far, Nyx HD concealer in CW 01 Porcelain. I’m very fair with oily/acne prone skin and it is a perfect match & dupe for my Nars radiant creamy and less than half the price. And I’ve tried a ton on concealers (easy 40 plus).

I’ve been trying EVERYTHING over the last couple of weeks and even went to have a makeover at Sephora. I normally only wear bb creams (currently bare minerals complexion rescue) and I am getting married outside so I needed to find a good foundation that didn’t have spf (flashback) and a good concealer too. I wound up with Armani foundation and tarte crease proof concealer. I am in love with both! I did my make up today with primer and setting spray just like I will do it and Fiance said it looked good, like me but more defined and super photo ready. In his language i think that means I’ve figured it out. He was not a fan of the makeover- way too heavy and not me.

I hated the Mac Pro long wear made me look oily and broke out my skin! My cousin swears my este Lauder double wear I haevnt tried it yet! I just got the revolt color stay mouse and I’m pretty sold on it my makeup looked great for my bachelorette party and bridal shower and it was hot! I love the Nyx concealer pots they are awesome and are supposed tone a dupe for macs paint pots. I got the new I think Lorele luminous highlighter click pen and it looked good! And rimel London’s stay matte primer! I’m all about drug store if it works! Ill buy expensive stuff but I like trying new stuff to much to drop $$ on something I won’t use long! Good luck

I used Tarte Amazonian Clay (mixed with a litte covergirl) and applied using a beauty blender.  I thought it was very camera friendly and had NO issues with it on my wedding day.

bijoucherie:  I’m huge fans of Lancome and Mac! Try using foundation that does not have SPF in it (just for one day!). The white from the SPF will show up on photos, making the foundation look caked on.

I wore Tarte’s Amazonian Clay 12hr foundation. I always go to sephora and ask for a sample whenever I need something for a special event.  For my engagement photos I wore NARS sheer glow.

I have oily.combination skin and have had success with Smashbox 15-hour wear foundation. However, I read a little trick on these boards that I used on my wedding day… and every day.

Get a good face primer (I use the Shasmbox Photo Finish one). After primer, you dust a light amount of your finishing powder on top of it. Suppoesedly, this set is. After that, I use my powder concealer on areas/spots where it’s needed. Then, I put on the foundation, a little bronzer, and then the finishing powder. Even after ALL of your make-up is on, you can set it with a stetting spray – Urban Decay All-Nighter.

Granted, my wedding was in October and it was colder so it all stayed put… I put it on around 8am, and it lasted ALL day. I did the same as you, though… did my own make-up but got my hair done.
