Hi to everyone,
I am a newbie and finally decided to register and start posting. I can’t believe I am just now finding this site one month before my wedding. I have got so many great ideas just from everyones pictures.
So my question is: I am paying for all my BM, mom and MIL to get their hair done the day of the wedding, make up and mani/pedi and my mom and I are getting massages that AM. I am paying about $1000 for everything total. There are six people working on us at the salon and I have no idea how to tip them.
Do I tip each of them separate one flat amount. Do I tip on the total bill and have the owner divide everything up. Help!

Good question. I would be interested in knowing the answer! I hope someone replies to your post (seeing how I was no help at all!) ;o) Good luck!

I generally give one large tip and allow the owner to divide it up. This works great unless there is one person who you feel deserves more.

Can you ask the owner? Maybe salons have their own way of doing things. I remember getting a 1/2 day as a gift once. So I had the mssage, main/pedi, facial. On the bill, there was a separate tip line for each service. Or if you don’t want to ask, maybe you could just get a breakdown of costs, and figure your tip both as a whole, and divided out. That way you’ll be prepared however they approach you.
