Another boudoir photo bride here! It was expensive (~$800) but so fun and he has no idea I did it. I think I’m going to give him the album after the rehearsal dinner.
I love the idea of writing letters to him throughout your engagement, that is all over pinterest… so I have started doing that. I am also going to get him a Rolex, engraved of course. It’s something he’s always wanted. I love the “for all time” engraving… so sweet! ๐
In reading this thread, I realized I have no idea! He has cufflinks and a watch he likes. I asked him what he would like, and he was surprised to learn this tradition, so he said he didn’t want anything.
So I think I will do something nice, like have a nice breakfast and/or drinks brought to his place for him and his Groomsmen to get ready with (since I’m getting the super awesome suite he just booked, bwa ha ha).
i got one of these made but with his/our soon to be last name!
It amuses me. Isn’t the whole wedding a gift you are offering each other already ? I didn’t know the couple exchanged gifts on top of that. We won’t. I think committing to him officially and legally, with all it means and comes with financially, is the ultimate gift and I couldn’t top that. if I make him cry with my vows, then it’s mission accomplished. ๐
We each started a notebook when it was exactly 1 year away from our date. Each day we’ve been writing a ‘Reason I want to marry you’… so we’ll give them to each other the night before the wedding.
I think I may also give him a gift, not sure yet. He’s said he wants to give me one.. but we’re still a year out so we’ll see.
I got him a really nice handmade monogrammed leather wallet. It’s great because he’s not much of a “things” guy, but everybody can use a nice wallet.
He got me kittens!! (After much hinting on my part.)
I bought him these cuff links. I thought they were super cute and he’s going to love them! They’re our wedding colours, and bring my country into our US wedding!
My Fiance has a really nice Tissot watch that he used to wear every day. A couple of years ago, he accidentally dunked it in water and it hasn’t worked since. I think he’s forgotten about it but I found it in a storage bin not long ago. I want to take it to a repair shop to see if they can fix it, or buy him a new one if they can’t. I’ll also include a note about how we should have nothing broken between us.
