That is so great!  I actually just ordered Yankees (MLB) garters for my groom!  HAHA! Love your username By The Way, haha.

I just had to get my groom a special gift as well!  I wrote him a letter and gave him a small package (which he was told to open prior to the ceremony).  Our photographer captured this wonderful moment.  He was teary-eyed one second and smiling or laughing another.  My hubby immediately told me how grateful he was as soon as we met during the ceremony.  He still raves about the Mercedes cuff-links he received!

I’ve already written my letter to him but haven’t bought the gift yet. Fiance loves luxury watches so I have my eye on a Tag Heuer and Sturhling watch for him. He can only wear one so I haven’t decided if I’m getting both or just one. He slipped up and told me he wanted to get me a new laptop for a wedding gift. I was like sweetie what am I going to do with that laptop at the wedding?? Bless his heart, he was trying. lol

Aww so sweet.  What did you write about in the note that made him tear up?

@angiexox – I pretty much just told him how blessed I feel that he was becoming my husband, how much I adore him, how he makes me feel, and how I can’t wait to live my life with him!  My husband is a pretty sentimental fella and has kept every letter that I had even written him…even our first correspondence via e-mail since we met online.  Sappy, huh?!

My aunt is making him a saints cake for his groom’s cake and I am sure I will write him a note or two. He always keeps what I write him.. I hope I can send him a bottle of our favorite champagne with it for him to drink to his last single moments and end the night drinking to our favorite moments together.

I was sort of on the fence about groom gifts, thanks for posting your experience! 🙂

I wasn’t sure about a gift, either, given all the wedding expense, but then I came across this idea on etsy.com (seller is “thesugaredplumb”):

The seller completely customized it for me – I chose the background pattern, frame color, frame placement/orientation and customized the quote (a line from our first dance song). Here’s the proof she sent, and the final product is gorgeous (and just $65 + shipping!). I’m going to insert a photo from our engagement shoot, and we can replace with a wedding photo later:

i am definitely getting my groom a gift, i have no idea what yet….but the reason i believe in it was after what my friend who got married a couple of years ago told me….she said she felt she should get him a gift, but that he did not need to get her one, because he already bought that ring!!! and i was like, that is so true. i don’t think my man will get me a gift because he is clueless when it comes to wedding traditions etc, but this is one i would prefer to let slide. because like my friend said, i have my GORGEOUS ring that i look at everyday and so the wedding day will be my turn to get him a gift!
