@linnylou_88:  I think it’s definitely personal preference.  For me personally, I’m not a fan of too much blingy jewelry, and like to keep it simple.  But other ladies like to have a ton of jewelry!  Just depends on what you prefer! 🙂

I think wedding jewelry has to be a careful balance between personal style and the style of the dress.   So often I see ‘bling’ girls with a dress that has a lot going on and a lot of jewelry happening and it looks too busy. I also often see ‘simple’ girls with simple dresses and very little jewelry and the outfit looks undone.

In my personal style I don’t like to do big necklaces so I picked a dress with a unique illusion neckline that didn’t need a necklace. I love stacked bracelets so I’ll be doing that to meet the level of formality of my dress along with long sleek earrings to mirror the lines of the gown.

@linnylou_88:  I have mine, (pretty generic goes with any dress, simple necklace, simple post earings, and a delicate bracelet, i spent $85 total on mine….my friend spent $600 on jewelery just to have a drunken friend get caught in her very pretty necklace during the reception and break it….(the whole gold chain….still not sure how….but we picked stones and beads up for 20 min)….and she discovered she was allergic to the earings….

soo for me….I am not a jewelry person the only jewelry i wear constantly is my engagement ring, and i like simple things….on me….i think certain blingy jewels look amazing on other people but me its weird….

so i say as much as you want, but i did recently see a thread about only wanting real jewelry on their wedding day and if you can afford it go for it….for me id have to either not feed anyone, or have no pictures done to accomplish that….let alone the other things id have to give up….as long as it dont break the budget who cares….

In my opinion….more is more on your wedding day 🙂

For me this is a tough one, because I usually prefer statement jewelry to delicate jewelry, but I’m not willing to wear anything that isn’t real on my wedding day, and I’m not sure I want jewelry to be a focal point…I might just go with really nice earrings!
