You can stick to a nice light, natural color.  I prefer those the most.

You can do a French manicuer with out fake nails. It still looks nice and classic with out the trouble of the fake nail. It still makes you nails look nice and long even if they are not. I did this for my sisters wedding and loved it.

I can relate; everyone says to do the french manicure, but I don’t like how they look on me. I’m either going to do a nude color, or go funky and paint my nails a nice pale blue. 🙂

It can be my something blue!! 🙂

I’m going to go with a light pink color.  You could always just have a clear coat of nail polish to make your nails look all shiney too!

I got a no-chip manicure (I’d never gotten my nails done before) and I liked it because, well, my nails didn’t chip! But if you don’t like the “heavy” feeling of having your nails done, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Maybe you could just paint them a nude color. I got a very pale pink that looked pretty similar to my regular nail color, but to make it special, I had a tiny heart painted on my left ring finger. It was like this color:

But with a little white heart like this:

I really don’t care for french tips so I’ll probably go for a all over color. Probably a mild color like a pearly white or silver or maybe pale pink. Although I’m also thinking about something funky like this:

I dont normally wear nail polish either and agree that it feels heavy and annoying, but I went with a french mani.  I was deciding between that an a light neutral since I didnt want it to stand out *too*much from its natural nakedness.

I’m with most of the pp’s, I’ll do an all over pale pink gel manicure.

I got a french manicure. I did not want fake nails, so I went with shellac polish so I would not have to worry about it chipping.

hahah… I just posted a similar post the other day asking for opinions of what I was thinking of doing.. and I’ve decided to do it!!! I would suggest something natural… like a painted french manicure (not acrylics) with the gel or shellac polish (so it doesnt chip so quickly) or a natural pretty color of your choosing.. you can also choose to glam it up a little and add glitter… This is what I’m thinking of doing!!!

I’m OCD about always having nice nails, they’re always painted,  even if it’s just a base coat for some shine, or glitter polish. As soon as they’re chipped, old polish comes off, new polish goes on. I also love nail art and what not. With that being said, I plan on going classic, simple and elegant on my wedding day. I’ll be doing just a classic french, probably shellac.

I love the nude paint with glitter I’ve been seeing all over pinterest lately.

@FutureMrsTimmins:  This is what I did and it looked great. My nails were even short and it ended up lasting through the honeymoon and beyond!
