- Wedding: May 2014
Hello! I am a bride on a budget who will be getting married in May 2014. Our reception will be held at the Festhalle Barn in the Amana Colonies and has quite a bit of DIY in the mix. Though we will be hiring professional caterers, bartenders, DJ, photographers, etc., we do not have the type of coordination for the day that comes with many event facilities. And I HATE the idea of asking my friends and family to work. Many of them will put enough into the prep with us before the wedding and I want them to enjoy the day as much as we do.
Are you in the same boat? Then let’s trade Day of Coordination services. I’ll be the DOC at your wedding and you be the DOC at my wedding. Handle the little stuff, like lighting all the reception candles during the wedding so they are ready once the guests arrive, pull out our prepped late night nacho bar items, make sure the jugs of iced tea, lemonade, and water stay full, etc. Those are some of my needs — what is on your list of things that you’re not sure who will take care of so that you and your guests can just enjoy? Let me help!
For what it is worth, I have planned events that have brought in over 500 attendees for my organization, so you can trust me to know what I’m doing. I don’t expect you to have the same experience, but I would hope that you would be an organized and up-beat person, willing to help with various different things.
Send me an message if you are interested. Let me know when your wedding is, where, and what types of things you are looking to have done. I think if we are both interested an in person meeting over coffee would be best — make sure that it is a good match.
Thanks for looking!
