To fit into my dress…lol

Seriously tho,i do need to lose about 10 to make sure my dress fits perfectly, all in my hips too. I never thought i had big hips until i went wedding dress shopping and apparently thats the bigger spot on me….great something else to be worried about!

But I would like to get back to a healthy weight, and also start my married life as healthy as i can 🙂 and just feel better about myself overall. We can do it!

@kalixti:  Because I want to look smoking hot and for my future husband to look at me coming down the aisle and say, DAAAAAAAMMMM!! That’s MY wife!  Crazy, but true.

@Kjeff760:  Me too!! I was losing weight when I bought my dress, just by eating better. So I ordered a size smaller, I zipped it up the other day woot woot. But I;m looking to lose a few more pounds before my first fitting.

to look good in my wedding photos.  i found that i’ve gained some weight since starting an office job.

i’ve lost 27 pounds (more than what my doc thought i needed to lose).  the weight came off all over when i really only wanted it to come off my bust and waist.  i have no butt or hips.  i’m about a size 6-8 bust, 4-6 waist, and 0 hips.  i took a size 8 melissa sweet dress to a tailor and he had to take in about an inch or two in the bust and waist and about 6-7 in the hips.  my friends said to do lunges everyday to build more muscle in my buttocks.

I have known for a while that a needed to lose weight (again I lost about 50 lbs 6 yrs ago and put it all back on), however I was never motivated.  I knew that if I wasn’t fully 100% committed it would be a waste of my time.  I am finally in a good happy place in my life and that helps.  Also I don’t want to look back at photos years from now and be upset at myself for not doing more.  I want the WOW! factor.  I gave myself a year and set a realistic goal.  And don’t want to do anythign crazy or drastic/unhealthy.

  • To actually enjoy my day. I know it sounds bad, but if I didn’t lose weight, I would be SO nervous about my day. Now that I’ve lost 55 pounds, I’m able to really look forward to it
  • To be proud of my wedding day photos in years to come and for our future children to think I was beauitful – just like I thought my mom was
  • To avoid the feelings that some other plus size bees have: I’ve read threads from bees who are a month out from their wedding and so depressed that they didn’t do anything about their weight. Hearing this has given me a lot of motivation and I’m so glad I started 18 months before my wedding
  • To avoid having a super wide gap in my lace-up back dress!

xx

I don’t want to have to worry about how I look in my photos.  Plus I wanna look smokin’ hot on our honeymoon!

I think I need to lose 10-20lbs to be truly happy with my weight. I plan on losing that because I just want to look the best I can!

I know that pictures aren’t always very forgiving and I want to look absolutely amazing in a bikini when we go on our honeymoon 🙂

I’ve been slowly and steadily gaining weight throughout college and afterwards, so it’s something I want to do for myself. The wedding is an incentive to get a kickstart on a life of healthy eating + fitness habits. I’m also tired of looking at pictures where I look fat, and not making any changes.

I’m not engaged yet but I think I will be very soon (fingers crossed!). I’m already freaking out a little bit about losing weight for the wedding. If I’m honest, I just want to look hot! I would love to go into the whole dress shopping process at least 10-20 pounds lighter and just feel and look awesome. I also plan to honeymoon somewhere beachy, so, bikini time.

I’ve been meaning to lose this weight for two years.  I was offered my mom’s dress for the ceremony but it is a size 10, at the time she offered it I was a size 14/16.  I decided enough was enough and it was time I committed to making this happen.  I’m glad I did because I am half way through my journey.  I’m currently a size 12/10.  I need to lose another 12 pounds or so and its going to be rough but I know I can do it.

With the support of the bees its been easier as well.  I have lost 6 pounds since I started participating in the beegist loser thread!!
