I found this decoration idea on a great DIY wedding facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/weddingsdiy?fref=ts
how cute are they!? I love the ribbon and the pattern on the paper, I’m going to design mine in light pink since it’s one of our wedding colors 🙂 the best part is they can act as cute decorations honoring our friends and then they can take them home as little soveniers from our special day!
just thought I’d share with all the Bee’s 🙂

They are definitely pretty for decor, and double as placecards on the back of the reception chairs, but I doubt that many people would keep them, so don’t be disappointed on that count.
Are you filling them with something to throw at the bride and groom?
To use them as a favor are you filling them with something to eat?

I don’t really get it for decor, but if you like it that’s fine. As a guest, I’d never take it home as a favor.

I was thinking about filling them up with candy or perhaps a few roses in each (roses will be in our wedding). How could I make it obvious that I want them to take them home? 🙂

Cute! Personally I like the roses, but most people would probably prefer candy 🙂 Candy would also be more obvious that they’re for people to take home. How/where are you planning to hang them?

@MayaM85: I think having people’s names on them make it clear they are meant to be taken home.
I like them as escort cards doubled as favors if they have candy or flowers in them! Since flowers are more expensive, I’d maybe do roses for the older ladies and candies for everyone else.

@MexiPino: that’s a good idea to budget on flowers….and we have quite a few children coming to our wedding so candy would be a great idea for them.
I was also considering putting confetti in them which our guests can sprinkle around us when we walk out of the service! 🙂
