I knew the time would come for me.
Two weeks until my big day, and it has started.
The whole time I was planning my reception, I thought our tables would seat 8. It turns out, they seat 10. This was a total non-issue. In fact, the new seating arrangement and centerpiece surplus is much better.
But last night I had a dream that the tables actually only did seat 8. So the venue plonked a 2-seater sweatheart tables next to each of the big rounds of 8. Isn’t that a weird thing to have tossing around in my sleeping consciousness?
What were/are your odd dreams leading up to the big day? Did you loose much sleep?

I have had only two of those…
one was about me getting up late on my wedding day… so I arrived to the reception without my hair done, makeup and with jeans! :S
the other was about the photographer not getting to take our pictures (don’t remember details.. it was just a dream).. but since they are the ones that are going to do my makeup and hair I was again not ready! and looked like I had just woken up without a drop of makeup 🙁

I have Wedding Nightmares all the time. Don’t remember many of them, but my first one stuck in my head: it was our wedding day and I was in a beautiful White Gown and so was every girl at the reception – that one was scary 🙂

The most recent dreams/nightmares I’ve had: I was getting ready to go to the church, had my gown on, looked really beautiful. Then all of a sudden I opened my mouth and my teeth started falling out! Second dream: we were at the reception, guests were arriving, and as I was sitting down, i realized I never brought the favors, so I started bawling my eyes out, whining and throwing a fit about how things NEVER go right. I’ve had others, but these two are the only ones that really stuck in my head.

I have had quite a few nightmares about our wedding… I cannot remember them all but here is one…
Background: My dress shop had hemmed my dress way too short (3-4 inches too short), but they had fixed it mostly (still not touching the ground like I asked for, but almost) and they cannot make it any longer, because they had cut the material off, and the hem is out as long as it can possiably be.
Dream: I was at my wedding, and since the hem was as far as it could go the stiching started to come out, then the added lace started to fall off. Then the stiching that held my skirt to my bodice came apart, and I was standing there with just the bodice of my dress on…
Ahhhhh. I woke up in a panic and had to wake Fiance up to tell him. (Poor guy has to go through so much)

I have these all.the.time. Usually the wedding is starting and I’m like in sweats or something. Or my hair isn’t done. Or someone important doesn’t show. I actually had more in the beginning than I do now. And I hope it stays that way!

Fiance and I both have them, and they’re becoming more and more frequent!
I’ve had a couple dreams recently that my dress didn’t fit and we’re scrambling to safety pin it together, and all the guests leave because they’re tired of waiting for us. Fiance had a dream the night before last that I told him I was cheating on him with a GIRL and that I was trying to convince him it was fine and to go ahead with the wedding (for the record, I’m not into girls and I’ve never cheated). And I had another dream last night that my ring was literally unraveling–like the rows of diamonds on my ring were just peeling off. 6 more weeks of this, yay!

I have them all of the time, and I still have a ways to go! I think whenever I get wrapped up in planning something, I am so subconsciously tied up in it that it seeps into my dreams. I’ve had countless wedding nightmares since we started planning…some people may wake up in cold sweats over being chased or falling off a cliff, but for me it’s usually botched bouquets and forgotten centerpieces. Kind of embarrassing!

Oh I love this thread!!!!!
Background: the secretary at our church and I have butted heads a few times and she has this massivly thick Russian accent which she uses to scold me about calling the Reverand by her first name and not the “Royal Canon, blah blah blah”. This was moments after the Reverand said, “please just call me (first name)”.
Dream: In the dream, she sells our wedding date to her Russian friends who are getting married so they can stay in the country. So we show up to the church and we can’t get married because the rogue secretary took matters into her own hands.
She’s like the villian in a James Bond movie, seriously…..

Aren’t they horrible? No one really warns you about this. I have them about once every other week. Usually they involve me being at least 2 hours late…no linens…the dress isn’t ready…the reception venue says they have no record of our booking…basically any disaster possible.

My wedding is a little less than a year away, and I had my first dream last night. It actually wasn’t a nightmare. It was fun and happy, and I was so sad when I woke up! Hopefully I continue to have good dreams!

I just bought my dress and it’s a lot of beading!!! I know it needs altered and it scares me so bad it’s not going to look good after they cut away at it… This led to some horrible nightmares =( I had one where the dress was too small 2 days before the wedding and they said they could make it bigger but they no longer had the beads they removed. I then had another dream that the dress fit 2 weeks before the wedding but it wouldn’t zip up more than half way on my wedding day so I had to go out and buy a plain white dress which I couldn’t find so I had a red one I hated and looked out of place with my all green wedding reception… everyone thought I loved Christmas which most people know I can’t stand lol. I cried and left and never got married…

I actually had my first one over the weekend. I don’t remember it but I remember waking up and telling Fiance that my dress was satin and I absolutely didn’t want satin and I can’t believe I had that in my dream lol. Last night I just had a nice dream about me walking down the aisle. No real nightmares, just stuff to laugh at myself for.

I’ve had a few. Nothing too specific (except the dress one).
I also had a dream that the Royal Wedding was being held in a high school gym. Why I’M stressing out for Kate Middleton is more of a mystery.

have one every other week or like once a month.
The first one i could rememebr is that it was our wedding day and when we got to the country club, it starting raining inside the reception! it was horrible.
the second one i had was that all my girls we wearing pink fuschia (i dont really like this color) puffy short dresses from the eightys with pink converses and their hair in a ponytail to the side with bright blue make up. i woke up feeling very distressed.
