@MrsCasanova: This seem to be fairly common, so you’re not alone! About two weeks ago I had one that included the following high lights:

1) My mum appeared in a white, tight, jumpsuit with red plumes on her bum + rabbit ears…

2) All the guests were Asians, including FI’s mum who kept screamed at me in Mandarin

3) All floors were linoleum and not compatible with heels, so I kept falling down

4) My wedding dress got pulled into a bicycle chain and came out a mess. I started to cry and mom told me I had to smarten up because it wasn’t a problem. Next thing, we were running through a giant shopping mall, trying to find a public washroom so that I could wash the skirt. Eventually we found a sauna where I hand washed it using bile soap.

5) Skirt incident made me miss my hair appointment, so I had to continue to run around in the mall to find a hair dresser. Problem was, they were about to tear the place so I had to find someone who was so far away from the demolition equipment that he/she could complete my hair. The only thing available was an old man who worked as a barber.

6) I’m sitting in the chair, getting a horrible prom up-do when I realize I have no money… I spot a person I recognize outside the salon & shout Can you get my mum?’. The person turns around and it’s a person I went to primary school with and she flip me the finger. I remember thinking, “Oh well … I hated you anyway”

7) Barber is done and my brother tells me that none of wedding programs has been made. I panic and start to assemble them myself and when I finally get ONE done, I realize it has taken so long that all the guests have gone home…

I’m not really sure what to make of all of this, except that I might have to talk to mum about the dress code. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had a dream last night that I was getting married at some huge wedding factory at the beach, and there were 4 other brides that were going to have theirs the same day as mine. Then that morning, it started to flood in the building. All the weddings were cancelled.

In the dream, I was oddly calm about it and was mostly concerned with finding last minute vendors to have my wedding the very next day. I kept thinking “call the florist now or all the other brides from this venue will get to them first!”

I had another one last week that everyone had misunderstood me (vendors, parents, church) and that my wedding was accidentally booked as August 23, 2013 and I have next to nothing done.

@MrsCasanova: Well, they are way more intense now than just a few months ago. Then it was usually stuff like me misplacing the rings or so, now they’re definitely focusing on things that are failing – usually because I haven’t done them yet. Might have something to do with the fact that it’s less than 90 days to the wedding and I still have like 85 things left to do on my The Knot list… Need to get going! ๐Ÿ™‚

My dreams are always about things that I need to get done in real life, with the exception of my dress being really horrible in one dream. But it’s always at the wedding and things haven’t been done. I also had one where we were up there at the ceremony and fiance’s father said a lot of terrible things, and one where I couldn’t remember the vows I had said and came to find out it was because I hadn’t written any and therefore didn’t have anything to say at the ceremony!

@MrsCasanova:  Yeah, it was a giant, poofy, pink, translucent, sparkly monster with an attached hood. It was really terrible, like something 1980s Barbie would have even considered a fashion disaster.

Recently I had a nightmare the place cards hadn’t been done, even though we’re waiting on RSVPs still and there’s no way I could be done with them at this point.

I had a dream that everyone got bored and left halfway through the day. And I was so distraught in the dream that when I woke up I couldn’t stop worrying about it for days! x

I have them about twice a week at the moment … a common theme seems to be that the hair and make-up lady doesn’t show up, or that I have the wrong dress.. or the guests don’t show up.

I’m just thankful I’m not having them every night yet, lol. I’m a bit of a panicker and prone to anxiety, I’m sure it’s going to ramp up in the next couple of months ๐Ÿ˜‰

I had several of these before I had my major vendors booked. In the dream I’d arrive and no invitations had been sent out… or there was no officiant… or nothing was decorated. It’s easing up a lot as I get more and more things planned/finalized.

1. One that I can remember is that I arrived at thwedding without my dress and I had to walk down the aisle in jeans!

2. The second is that I forgot to do a bunch of things like centerpieces and other very important details and people left before the reception

3. The last and most frequent is that my hair falls flat  and is frizzy or my extensions fall out. Mortifying!

im glad I’m not the only one
