Firstly, I am so so sorry that you went through this. i can imagine how distraught I would have been if the train of my dress was cut!

Have you contacted the store to discuss this issue with them? I would most definitely be asking for compensation considering they cut your dress for a bustle? I have never heard of someone having the bustle sewn into the dress, why not just buy a dress without a train?

@isteiner:  Wow, I so totally feel for you.  I’m sorry. 

You know, I’m thinking it’s really hard to find a good seamstress now-a-days. (Oy, I sound like an old grandma!) But I keep seeing more and more bees on here with alteration horror stories.

I would report them to the Better Business Bureu. That is completely unacceptable! Just reading this made me livid. You need to take some sort of action, I can’t believe that she denied it to your face, like you’re lying or something. I’m so sorry this happened to you and that you can get at least something out of it.
