I was reading the Globe this morning and came across this great article about a non-fashionable article and I immediately had to share with everyone. It’s a bit long so I won’t repost it all here, but this is the link:
“I’m itchy. Maybe it’s stress. Or dry winter skin. Or tulle.
It’s a snowy Tuesday afternoon, and I’m inside a candy-colored dressing room, trapped in the eye of a hurricane spun from taffeta and organza and charmeuse. I’m not even entirely sure what that last thing is; I just know that it’s trying to strangle me as I clumsily navigate a tunnel of fabric, desperate for air. Who knew that shopping for a wedding dress could be so dramatic?”
I can absolutely relate to this woman. I wear the same things every day and while Ilike getting dressed up every once and a while, I was scared to go dress shopping. I’m short and not skinny and I was afraid that I wouldn’t find something that I would love. But, I did! It wasn’t even on my radar but the awesome woman who owns the shop where I bought and her assistant found me the perfect dress. 🙂
