I bought the Watters Torreon 4 months ago. I never had a gown that I felt like I had a bridal moment in and decided to just go with the Torreon because it was fun and so beautiful. But I always felt a little apprehensive about my choice. I figured that when it came in I would be completely thrilled and know it was my dress. Instead it had flaws and needed to be shipped back to the designer. It has been 3 weeks and I still don’t know what they are going to do about the flaws on the gown. Hopefully the shop owner said, they will replace it.
In the mean time, this has left me with mega doubt. Maybe this is a sign that it wasn’t the dress for me. I only have 4 months to go before the wedding and I don’t have tons of extra cash to just waste but I started to cruise through the preowned wedding gowns and found the other dress that I had liked a lot when I tried it on. The Enzoani Dakota. She is far more elegant and classic and now I feel like the edgier Torreon isn’t really me and isn’t as flattering in person. I don’t know what to do.
If I got the Dakota I would have to buy it used or new but 4 sizes too big from one of the resale sites and then find a seamstress. I’d also have to sell my Torreon. I really don’t know what to do.

You’ve got to follow your gut instinct. But may I say your Torrean dress is beautiful.

Not everybody has the wow moment and you have to be careful of interpreting problems to signs. I think the Torreon is absolutely beautiful! I love it more than the 2nd one. I’d hold off on making any decision until the issues are resolved with your original choice.

@Cotton: Torreon is beautiful! You definitely should stay the course and wait for your dress to be perfect like you imagine it! You can’t go wrong either way though!

I LOVE your first first dress, its so pretty and just has a nice flow with feminine detail. Its very unique. THe seocnd dress is pretty but the detail is not as unique and the mermaid of the second dress is a little tight and takes away from the softer flow.

I voted keep dress #1, I really like the shape and flow of it better than #2 – I also think your dress is elegant and romantic : )

I say keep the Torrean, it is such a beautiful dress!! I spent a lot of time on the preowned websites and i have seen photos of the Torrean there quite often. I never saw a bride that didn’t look stunning and breathtaking in it! So i’m absolutely sure you will look gorgeous and you will not regret wearing it!

I don’t think you should even think about switching unless you have tried on the other gown in person and loved it. It doesn’t make sense to me to even consider a dress you haven’t tried on. Loads of dresses that look great on a model, but just don’t suit you personally.
