- Wedding: July 2013
So FH is at work tonight and it leaves me to wander in my thoughts and tonight I’m focused on wedding dresses. We are planning a wedding next July so I know I have a little bit of time before I have to seriously think about buying but tonight I’m just day dreaming. Money wise I have to wait til about November and I know then it’ll probably be crunch time. I went shopping for the first time with my mother, sister, sister in law, and aunt a few weeks back and it was a decent experience. I tried on things I thought I would like and things I didn’t think i would. One dress I thought I would, I totally did not like on me. Another I knew I wouldn’t like, I really didn’t like. And one I hadn’t even considered I really liked. I kind of got a feeling of what I am after (no halter, no satin, no weird creases, etc.)
And tonight in my day dreaming, I came across a dress that I am absolutely in love with, from a designer that has caught my eye since I became engaged. Jim Hjelm. I am seriously in love with most of his designs. Just something about the lines, the fabric just make me melt. The dress I love is Jim Hjelm’s 8012. I love the flow, the simplicity yet complexity of it and uh it just screams me. Of course it’s from 2010 and finding it in my size even somewhere used probably won’t happen. So I’m drooling over the current collection and stumbled upon 8105. Not as much in love with it but still wow.
Now of course Jim Hjelm anything is wayyyyyyyyyyyy out of budget. But a girl can dream. I know if I mentioned it to my FH he would tell me we could make it happen if I really wanted a Jim dress. I love that man for wanting to make me happy. But I know I will find something similar and within budget when ready. I just knew my fellow bees would understand my wedding dress day dreaming….now back to drooling….
