Ok 1. Do not listen to that lady and 2. Find a different bridal salon. Don’t take your business somewhere who doesn’t want to please you!!! This dress is beautiful. Please don’t let this discourage you from having a good experience!

mzb1 :  I agree with pp.  that dress is beautiful and classic looking. If you want bling you can add gorgeous jewelry without it overwhelming beadwork. That dress needs no help.

mzb1 :  That dress is beautiful, and it’s all about what YOU like. As PP suggested, take your business elsewhere.

That lady is not the lady you should be buying a dress from.  Her style and preferences have nothing to do with what you should buy.  Find a new salon – she sucks.  P.S. that dress is gorgeous!

That saleswoman is an idiot. The dress is absolutely beautiful! Definitely find a new salon – what I’ve had luck with is checking wedding buy/sell/swap/advice groups for my local area on Facebook, people love to recommend not only salons where they had great experiences but also will even advise specific staff that went above and beyond to help them bring their visions to life.

The dress is gorgeous!! I completely agree you shouldn’t buy from this salon.

I’ve been seeing a few stories/hearing a few things about bridal salons saying things along these lines lately and it severely pisses me off. I wouldn’t patronize any place I knew that did this. I know she didn’t say anything near as bad as some other salon consultants, but I don’t think shit like this should be rewarded.

Do not go to that salon! I literally said “Wow l, that dress is so beautiful” when I opened this thread. Go find a bridal salon that will be respectful and helpful!

She was probably just trying to talk you into a more elaborate dress since more $$=more of a commission for her. Seriously, that dress is beautiful! The tulle all over plus the buttons down the back are definitely details to me! (Also I’m a bit biased as my dress also came from Mori Lee.)

Also my wedding dress philosophy is that less is more- if you decide you want to add more sparkle or whatever later, it’ll be easy to add via accessories- much harder to take away what’s already there!

mzb1 :  WOW! I wouldn’t even want to go to a place that made a statement like that. My advice, look elsewhere for that EXACT dress, its downright BEAUTIFUL!

mzb1 :  uh, no! That dress is gorgeous! Sure, it’s not embellished or covered in lace, but that’s not everyone’s taste. I think this dress is very pretty and elegant. Don’t let some stupid bridal consultant ruin the way you feel about a beautiful dress!

And I agree. Go to a different salon. She doesn’t deserve your business. She’s rude and has terrible customer service 👎

The dress is beautiful.

I think she was hoping to upsell you to a more elaborate (and more expensive) dress.
