So, I had a mini entourage with me a few weekends ago to go my first wedding dress shopping trip. We found a dress that everyone said was made for me and was discontinued. Almost everyone cried, but me… However, I felt so pressured to get it since it was discontinued my mom put a ‘half down’ and storage fee deposit on it, but now I’m second guessing it. I have kept browsing since I’m not sure and I’ve found one I really want to go try on, but I feel guilty. Please help me make my decision!!!
Here’s a few pics of me in the dress:
Here’s the dress I have yet to put on, but REALLY love from the pictures:

How do you feel about this dress? Can you see yourself getting married in it? A lot of brides second guess their choice, but I can’t tell if you really made the choice or if you were pushed into it. I know you said you didn’t cry, but that might not happen even with the perfect dress. Did it make you feel beautiful?
Personally, I am not a huge fan, but I’m not a ballgown type person. Maybe you should talk to the owners where you bought the dress. Could they move your mom’s deposit to a different dress, if you decide you don’t want this one? Do they have the dress you really want to try? If they can’t, you might be out deposit. Then you would need to sell your dress to buy a new one. If this is what you want to do, you’ll want to discuss it with your mom, since she’s the one who put the deposit down. Maybe you two–alone–could go try on other dresses, without the entourage.

The dress is beautiful! You look great in it!!! If you are unsure though, you need to keep shopping around. I had the same issue when I went shopping with my mom and sisters, it’s overwhelming. Shop around by yourself and see what you like. Good luck!

I think the one you have is WAY better than the ones you want to try on, your gown is stunning!!! 🙂

Good morning!! …So not a morning person. LOL
I did like the dress and it was more ‘bride’esque than a lot of the other dresses I tried on. Ballgown is the most flattering to my figure. I tried a bunch on that made me feel pretty, but none of them bride worthy. I went through a lot of dresses and figured out that i like a simple front, a bedazzled top, but I also like something in the back. Satin is definitely my favorite fabric, but I’m not heart set. I did like the dress, but it’s just so hard for me to decide because it was literally the first day I had tried on dresses, it was the floor sample in a size 12, but I have a year 1/2 to lose weight so I will be going back down to about a size 6. I am not only worried that I rushed into a choice and am not sure it’s the right one, but I’m also not sure it’s going to fit right when it has to be completely altered. I know beading doesn’t get affected too much, but the corset style top has seams right over the bust line on each side, if I lose too much weight won’t those move more to my side?

Me, personally, I prefer the dress that you posted first. I think it’s unusual, whereas dress two, is a little more mainstream. Your figure looks great in it. However I do think you need to be comfortable, and happy, in your wedding dress.. So depends how you feel I guess!

I think your dress is gorgeous and looks beautiful on you. But all that matters is what you think. If you need to try on more… well, make sure you clue your mom in on your thought process first.
