I purchased my wedding dress this past Jan. I am getting married on New Years Eve and I feel like I was pressured into buying my dress. I have been trying to convince myself that I love the dress I just have not had that feeling of LOVING the dress.
I have an A line dress from Davids Bridal and I am possibly looking to see if a seamstress could change the shape of the dress itself. I am hoping to see if I can get it changed to a trumpet style dress and possible add a little bit of body to the bottom of the dress.
I was just wondering if anyone had dealt with anything like this and if it is possible to do?!? I attached a picture of my dress below. Please help!!!! Thanks!

It might be cheaper just to find a used dress you love.

I know tailors/seamstresses who can literally work miracles with a gown. If you have someone you trust there’s nothing you can’t get done. With that in mind that is a serious alteration you want to have done and itwould take both a lot of time and money. Ultimately you should love your dress, but if by the day of your wedding you don’t feel that “spark” remember that you’re still going to be a married woman at the end of the day- it’s more important that you love your husband than your dress.

@bgutheil88: It’s so pretty! Do you have any pics of you in it? I don’t think I’d do the whole fixer uper thing because you may end up just as unhappy and even more in the hole…BUT I’d suggest going back, putting her on again…making sure the seamstress is on staff to see if she can give you an idea of what can be done and if it would be worth your while.
I think it’s normal to get nervous about your dress. Everyone wants to feel perfect and confident and whatnot on their wedding day. I am scared too! lol.
