I think you just need some alterations and accessoires.  You bought the dress for a reason. One think that stands out is that the dress looks too big in the bodice.  It appears to be floating over you instead of you wearing it.  Otherwise it is gorgeous!!!

honeylamb:  I love your dress! I wouldn’t do much to it, other than add a wide, beautiful belt. If you want a fuller skirt, add a petticoat – and with a veil, some beautiful jewelry, you will look spectacular! That dress goes with your beautiful venue!

honeylamb:  Your venue is amazing too. Your original dress would make such a statement there! Gah, I am rooting for you to keep it! It looks so fab on you and your wedding is going to be such an elegant fairytale.

I hate that DB dress. Please don’t ever buy that. It doesn’t make the statement and spectacle you clearly want and deserve. You can do so much better. If you drained your budget on your first dress (this is what I did), then consider perhaps buying preowned?

I’m confident you can find a statement dress that you’ll love. Please don’t walk the aisle with a dress you hate.

Alternatively if you can find a way to love your original dress- love it. Love it so hard.

Your dress is cool, and you are beautiful. Alter it to fit you and it will be wow!

No belt! No no no belt!

Your original dress looks like a tent.  I know you’re looking to make a statement, but I don’t think this dress will do the trick.  First it does not fit you very well and second it is pretty “blah”.  The David’s Bridal dress looks phenomenal on you but if you’re looking for more of a “statement” dress that may not be the right choice.  Although between these two dresses I think the David’s one is by far the winner.

Sell your current dress and I would look for preowned dresses or a discount shop to see what you can find.
