I am not sure sorry!!! But I think you should find a good seamstress at a wedding shop in your area asap!!! I’ve heard they can work wonders and they will know what the issue is and what has to be done.

Good Luck 🙂

It definitely sounds like it’s too big, I would look for another seamstress asap! Even if it had anything to do with your weight, a wonderful seamstress could work magic on any dress! It should fit like a glove

I would also find another seamstress. I know that mine said they could still do alterations up to 10 days before the wedding so you could still get some work done on the dress.

Is there boning in the bodice area?

I had the same issue with several I tried on, and it was due to the fit.  I have a high natural waist, and I found a lot of gowns were a lot longer waisted than I was.  I couldn’t get the top high enough (and stay) to keep the length of body right.  I also carry my excess pudge on top of my hips, and it caused the skirt to bunch up also.

I’d find a seamstress asap and get it looked at, there may be a super easy fix!

@viv81:  Hello, did you get your dress fixed correctly?  I have a dress that has this fold in the boning too, and it’s weird, it doesn’t go away, even with spanx.  It’s not that tight, so I don’t think I’m too fat in that area!

@viv81:  How did she fix it if it is too long in the torso?  Thanks!
