I am in dire help.. my wedding has been pushed from feb 14 2014 to July 20th 2013. My father in law has been really sick, and he wants to see me and my Fiance to get married before he passes. (which we think is soon, which sounds mean) so I went to DB, and many other dress shops, and if i ordered a dress tomorrow say, it wouldnt be here in time. so does anyone know of a ONLINE dress shop, that is amazing? and is there any PLUS sized bride who ordered a dress online? thanks

Buy a dress from a previous bride or a two dress bride. You can have it immediately. What area are you located in ? I am two dress bride with an Alfred Angelo size 16w for sale that I didn’t wear to my wedding

@brid32bee: You should try DB anyway. I just ordered my dress on Saturday for my October wedding, and they said it would be delivered to the store April 15th. Plus, they can sell you an off the rack dress too.
I would make an appointment and tell them your situation. Trying on in person is always better than ordering online, in my opinion.

I just did a quick check and if I were to order the dress I picked through bestbridalprices.com and had it rush ordered it would be delivered by Tuesday June 4 for $150 more. I’ve never used the site but I reference it a lot for their pictures… Maybe look into there? A month is close, but alterations can definitely be done in that time. I’d also check out used dresses if you’re alright with that. There are a lot of reputable sites that sell them, as well as the classifieds here on the Bee. Good luck with everything and sorry to hear about your Father-In-Law.
EDIT: I’d also look into trunk shows and sample sales. Getting something straight off the rack would definitely be your best bet.

Sometimes you can convince your local salon to sell off the rack too, let them know yor situation

I second looking for a pre-owned dress. Check http://preownedweddingdresses.com and http://oncewed.com . I’m sure you’ll find something beautiful!

I would recommend looking into samples or preowned too. But I would definitely try on some dresses first to get an idea of what kind of style, silhouette, cut you prefer before ordering sight unseen. Also ebay! I see a lot of once-used and new dresses on there.

Yeah I would be looking for either an off the rack or a pre-owned. I bought a pre-owned dress myself and it looks brand new and I was able to afford a much ncier dress than I would have been able to afford new..

I ordered my dress from the David’s website on a Sunday and it arrived the following Wednesday with regular shipping. Go for it.
