I am not good by any standards at wedding planning, but the dress selection especially is causing me problems and slowing me down. I am trying to decide between 2 dresses. In no order: #1 David’s Bridal WG3028 and #2 Mori Lee 4163. I want something simple with little bling, that is tight throughout the waist (making my short frame look longer) and a little poof at the bottom. I like #1 because it makes me look super skiny and long; it is simple and elegent/sexy. I like #2 because it has that awesome sweetheart neck that looks good and is tight through the waist; it is fun and energetic, still sexy, and has a little more umph. We are having a church service and reception at a golf course. The ceremony is in August in St Louis (super hot).
Just tell me what to do! And what I look best in! Does anyone have regrets going to poofy or to simple? Does anyone have pictures in these dresses?

I like the cut of number one on your frame and the color of number 2 with your skin tone

I have to agree with maureen9004.
I really love the color of the second, but the first one looks like it was MADE for you! Not many people can pull off straps on a wedding dress, but you do it fabulously. Does it come in ivory?

You look stellar in dress #2!!

Number 2 is the way to go! It looks awesome on you! 🙂

Personally I like #1 better. I think the neckline and more fitted torso does make you look longer/sleeker. I also think it’s more sophisticated vs. princess-y, and the neckline is very flattering. I like sweetheart necklines, but this one seems to draw a lot of attention straight to your chest?? Whereas the first one draws attention up to your face. Am I alone in this?

I’m really not a fan of pick-ups, but I do like both tops! I would normally go for the straps, but I think you look really great in the sweetheart!

@NotYourTypicalBride: Not alone! I agree with number 1!!! 🙂

Oh, and I don’t think they’re too simple at all. The first one would look awesome with long/blingy statement earrings. Again – drawing attention to your face vs. your dress. And you’ll be amazed what a veil can do to add drama (assuming you’re wearing one?).

I like #1.
#2 – i’ve just seen too many similar dresses.
