I never expected this to happen to me, but it is. A few details:
I loved my dress but after alterations, I’m not loving it so much. The seamstress adding boning. I don’t think I need it or want it. I didn’t have any idea how uncomfortable it was going to be.
How hard/easy is it to take out? I have more money invested in this dress than I ever wanted to.
I’m going to ask the seamstress, but will she throw a fit? I’m running out of time and I already know I need it hemmed more and then there’s the straps..ugh.

Hopefully it shouldn’t cost you too much since she added the boning when you didn’t want it, but you might want to ask beforehand. Also, here are some threads that address your concerns:
I hope it all works out!

Thank you…I did find those threads, that’s how I found this board. They are talking about remving bones that were already there.
My dress didn’t have them and I just don’t think they were needed but unfortunately I didn’t know that until after the fact.
She did tell me she was going to do it and I agreed to it.
Sigh. I am super sad about the whole thing. Losing sleep and can’t eat. Gotta snap out of it.

@TXMichelle: Take a deep breath and try not to worry. Please remember that you are paying your seamstress for a service and as long as you stay lovely and polite, it doesn’t matter what you ask her to do. You need to do whatever you feel will make you happy and comfortable on your wedding day. She will understand – you will not be the first one to ask for something then change their mind!

Thanks y’all. I’m trying to remember that…I also don’t want to spend alot more money on this dress. I messed up from the beginning on this. Bought a really nice dress…in about 5 sizes too big because it was a good deal. Only tired on 2 other dresses and really didn’t shop around enough. Every thing I pinned or saved isn’t even like the dress I bought. WTheck was I thinking?
Now it’s really too late for a dream dress. LOL DB has one that would be perfect…but it’s really shiny and then. Another one I have on the way, will work. Looks and feels good, but it’s not my dream dress by any means. As a matter of fact, I have a cocktail dress just like it, except of course it’s not ivory…but it has the same neck line and cap sleeves. 🙁
