I can’t see it on you of course but I imagine you look great in it. But if you are unsure go to some stores where you can buy a dress off the rack. Two things can happen from this: 1) you’ll find a new dress and fall in love or 2) you’ll compare every dress to your current dress and realize your current dress is perfect! Good luck

5 weeks is pretty tight to find a new dress. Its a lovely dress (should be flattering on pretty much any silhouette), and as its quite simple it would be easy to adapt with different accessories, veils, lace jackets/boleros etc. You can really put your own personality on it.

@DayDay:  i think you need to go dress shopping this does not sound like you found your dress. ive gained weight too and at some dress appointments i found myself leaving crying but i found the dress that complimented me in all the right ways and i danced in my dress for 2 hours at the bridal salon lol i did not want to take my dress off and thats how every bride should feel. good luck i hope you find your dream dress.

@DayDay:  You should at least give dress shopping one last shot. you have a pretty tight window to find another dress, but I’m a bit wary of your description of how you feel in the dress. It honestly sounds as if there are deeper insecurity issues beyond how the dress looks on you. More dress shopping might help you find another dress that makes you light up, but it still won’t address the underlying self-confidence issues.

I truly hope you are not only able to find a dress that turns your stomach topsy-turvy, but that you are also able to resolve your insecurities so that your true beauty can shine–no matter what size you are. 🙂

@DayDay:  Put on some makeup, twist up your hair, and wear your veil (if you have one) with your dress first. You may not feel all glowy in your dress because your bridal look isn’t complete  yet.

@DayDay:  I got somewhat the same problem you do. heres my solution we wear the accessories we want and make it the way it to look like mine has no train and I’ve always dreamt of a train but the dress my mom and I got has no train so I’m wearing a really long veil. and some bling to make mine a little more formal cause right now my dress will work with any dress code in fact mine is kinda like yours what are you doing for your belt?

@DayDay:  I think it’s a good idea to give dress shopping one last shot. You never know, something might jump out of the racks and surprise you…if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be. Five weeks isn’t long, but you could potentially find a sample or even a preowned dress.

I’m going with the majority, and recommending one more shopping trip.  Make appointments at salons that would sell the sample, and even try DB again.  If you haven’t altered the gown you have, perhaps they would exchange it for something else?

You have a great waist and I think your dress will look awesome on you! Do you have any accessories in mind?
