- Wedding: May 2009
I bought my wedding dress in Feb of this year. 15 months before my wedding. It is an Alfred Angelo style# . This style dress does not have a train, it’s more of a beach style dress. When worn by someone the height the dress was designed for it does not even come close to the floor. I am 5"0 so without shoes on the back of the dress has a very tiny train…basically drags a little on the tips. I didn’t think that I would mind not having a train, but as our wedding gets closer I regret not getting a dress with a train.
Recently my Mom and I went to a few dress stores to see if I could find a dress with a train, but I still love my dress. It’s the ONE…all the way down to my ankles. We have thought about trying to use a long veil as a substitute, but I think that a long veil with a short dress might look a little funny. We have also thought about creating a detachable train.
Some details: We are getting married in a cute mountain church that is not very fancy. The wedding is semi casual and at 2pm in May.
Does anyone have any thoughts??? HELP!
