You look fantatic in that dress and it does great things for your figure!
Yes, the style is a little dated, but who cares?! It’s still very pretty. How you feel is most important, so go with your gut on that. 😀

Have you gone dress shopping already? If you haven’t gone shopping yet, I highly highly recommend going and trying on a bunch of styles, and even different dresses in this style, before you decide.
I got a free wedding dress that’s very similar to this with the satin pickup skirt. I had never tried on a wedding dress before so when I first put it on I thought, omg I look like a bride, so pretty, and it’s free! I posted on here and got basically the same comments as you’re getting, that it’s outdated by about 10 years but if you love it who cares!
I went and tried on dresses and now I can’t even imagine wearing that free dress because I found a style that’s way better for me, that really makes me feel perfect.
You might go shopping and still love this dress, and then you know it’s the one!

Your figure is lovely, but that dress is awful (sorry). I’m sure you can find something just as flattering if you keep looking!

Is it super on-trend? No. But frankly, I find it to be an absolute breath of fresh air. Here’s the thing: everything will be dated. No matter how hard people try to be “timeless,” fashion marches on, and in fifty years we will all be cringing about grandma’s blush tulle gowns and lacey trumpet reception dresses. Pick what speaks to you, what makes you feel AMAZING, and you’ll never go wrong. You look super duper gorgeous in this dress <3

Thanks for you input. It makes me feel better about going with my heart.
Thanks. I appreciate your input. I’m still torn on what to do. My heart says this is the one and who cares about fashion. I’ve always been one to be dramatic so maybe I should do me and everyone else can lump it. LOL
You’re so right. I’m going to do me and I doubt anyone will walk up to me on my wedding day and ask me how I could wear such a dated dress, at least I hope not.

I’m starting to not care. I had only my Mom shopping with me and she thought it looks amazing on my figure. However, Mom is probably biased so I thought I would come to Weddingbee and let the Bees be honest.
Thank you for saying that about the dress bieng a breath of fresh air. Thanks for the “You look super duper goregous in this dress”.

You have such a beautiful shape and no, I don’t think it makes you look large in the hips. I don’t mind that it’s not the trendiest dress (it’s all relative if you ask me!) but I think this dress would look better if it didn’t have that vine-like beading along the pleats around your midsection.
