David’s bridal had a big sale that ended June 21, so my friend and I walked in (and luckily were seen). Unfortunately all the dresses I loved that were on sale, were no longer at that store as they sold out and so it was online only. fingers crossed that doesn’t happen to you! I ended up trying on some of the current full price vera wang white collection dresses and they are AMAZING! When you go to DB, they’ll ask for your info, your fiance’s name and wedding date. You can just be honest and say that yall just got engaged and haven’t set the date yet! Good luck and enjoy! Update us all afterwards!

Definitely try it on!…But try on other styles too. I almost bought the very first dress I tried on because it was on sale and I felt like a bride in it, but my friends (thankfully) convinced me to try on other styles. I realized I looked much better in a sheath dress, and that’s what I ended up with! I’ve only been engaged for 3 months, but my dress is arriving today! Woohoo!

I also think before making a final dress decision, you should have a season/venue set (or at least a really good idea for both). I probably wouldn’t have the dress I chose if I weren’t getting married outside in the summer and having a casual reception.

I bought my dress a three weeks after getting engaged and still have 15 months until my wedding.
My dress came in last week and I still love it!

If you try it on and know it’s the one and it’s priced that good.. I say go for it!

Try it on! I tried it on when i was searching for “The Dress” and it is not only a beautiful dress but it is also incredibly light and comfortable 🙂

I ended up with a different dress but I definitely loved the Vera!

Chiming in to say, I got engaged on 7/18/15 and went for an initial appt to try on dress styles and ended up buying my dress on 7/30. I got a discontinued sample of a dress that I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to afford ($3000 originally in 2013, $500 for me!). I am getting married in October so my dress has been in my posession since then! I didn’t have a venue or date picked at the time but things worked out well 🙂

Definitely not too early to go try it on and if you love it go for it!!!! Just don’t continue shopping. You need to be ok with not doing much dress shopping.
