I spent a long time looking for dresses and kept coming back to the same one, so this past August I ordered it. It is a Cosmobella- which is a line by Demetrios marketed for Milan, Italy which he sells only in a few stores near big US cities. Because it is Italian, the consultant said that dress would be in by late February/ March at the earliest. That was fine- my wedding isn’t until July. However, I was surprised when I got a call yesterday that my dress was in!!!!! I can’t wait to see it!! Do you think it is weird it came in so early? Did anyone else have their dress come in over 2 months early??
For some reason it makes me kind of nervous… I guess better than late!

Same thing happened to me! I think they “under promise, over deliver” to keep us brides from going crazy. I ordered mine in June and it was in mid-October – they said it would be around March! I have even had my first dress fitting already!
Congrats on the arrival of the best dress you’ll ever own

My dress is coming in February and I am getting married March 1, 2013. I WISH it was coming in earlier! Don’t be nervous.

@mgbser: I clicked on this thread HOPING you would talk about how it was a maggie sottero gown…. Mine isn’t due until late Jan and wedding’s in march. ALSO wish it would come in early! No idea how that could possibly be a bad thing!

Thanks!! It actually works out perfectly because I got my dress in my hometown with my mom (also getting married there), but live out of state. The salon says they will only hold a dress for about 2 weeks and I just so happen have a plane ticket for a week and a half for christmas!
i was just nervous that the dress was rushed and wont be made as well as the sample I tried on, but we get to approve of the quality of the dress before taking it. getting excited to actually try on the very dress im getting married in!!
Thanks so much!! I hope your dresses come in soon too! I’m sure they will be beautiful!!!!

A lot of salons wait until they have multiple orders for a designer to put in an order, so they can save on shipping.
It could be that your dress was the one that made them put in the order! Which would explain why yours came in so fast.

@mgbser: Ahh I’m so jealous! I ordered mine back in May and it still isn’t in (they told me it’d be in early November) so I’m getting a little anxious, even though I do have time still. I’m just so excited to see it and know that it’s made and finished. I definitely don’t think you should be alarmed that it’s ready early – I would be releived! Post pics when you can 🙂
