I don’t have any experience, but would you consider an empire waist gown? I think that style could be more easily altered to fit than some others. Or perhaps getting a corset back that can be let out a little if you’re early in your pregnancy?

Go to a major bridal chain like Davids Bridal, wait until four months before you wedding, then buy your gown. I’m not pregnant bought my gown on August 31, it came in the third week of September, my wedding is Jan 20, 2013, and my first alteration appointment isn’t until December 11. This is my advice since your trying to get pregnant but there is never a guarantee that it will happen right away. Just wait to dress shop till a few months before the wedding.

I’d totally look for a dress either 4 months beforehand, OR make sure you get a corseted waist.

I was 3 months pregnant at the time of my wedding and my dress was getting tight!

I agree that waiting till baout 4 months before the wedding to buy is a good idea. That’s still plenty of time to get a dress, but by then you’ll know that either you’re already pregnant, in which case you can estimate your bump, or that you’re not pregnant yet, in which case even if you do get pregnant, you probably won’t be showing by the wedding (assuming it’s your first!). Good luck!

It depends what kinds of dress you want to get. My Maggie dress took 5 months to come in, but obviously you can others closer to the date.
