I think the long sleeves overwhelm it. I think it looks fine over the bodice and I like the keyhole back that it creates../ but long sleeve is just too much. It takes away from the dress as a whole. Maybe one with shorter sleeves?

I actually kinda like it, although it is quite a busy look. Have you tried other laces? You can always take it off, you’re not required to wear the topper all day. I will probably wear my topper for the ceremony, then take it off and re-accessorise for the reception.

Also wanted to say your dress IS gorgeous as is, but if a topper makes you feel more comfortable then go for it. No use looking stunning if you feel self conscious all night.

Well I would go with one that is just (shorter and more fitted) sleeves, if you know  what  I mean , . Also I don’t think the keyhole back, pretty though it is, looks designed to go with  that dress, adn the high neckline is a bit too much lace altogether .

The beauty of that dress is in its clean classic  lines and  if you are going   to wear a bolero  – and why not !  –  I think a plain tulle  would  be better so as not to hide that elegant  ruching.

Something  perhaps like these

I love the topper! I also feel much more comfortable with sleeves so I know how odd it feels to be completely strapless. Since the lace pattern is in fact a little “busy” I would suggest having them tailor the sleeves to either 1/2 or 3/4 sleeves to balance it out a little. I love the keyhole!

You could create straps from the same fabric, that’s what I’m doing! You can even make them detachable if you want.

I usually love toppers, but I just don’t think this one is working with your dress.  Maybe try a plainer topper?

No topper. It’s lovely on its own.

ladygirl128 :  I think the design of your bodice does not and won’t look good with a topper, I think there’s just too much going on, maybe a plain topper at most. I do  love your dress as is though and think you look stunning, how about buy yourself a bolero so you can cover yourself when you want, and then go strapless when you don’t?

ladygirl128 :  I love it with the topper! But I’m also super partial to lace and feel that it always adds a very classic Bridalness to everything.
