Bees, help me!
I bought my wedding dress about 9 months ago, and now I’m getting anxious at the thought of trying it on again (it’s come in store). When I ordered it I was so sure and so was my mum – my dad cried when I showed him some photos. But as the months have rolled past, I’m starting to worry it’s not “the one”, that it’s too plain or something. For reference, I’m kinda small (5’3′) and petite with it, my FI HATES all-lace dresses (they remind him of his grandmother’s curtains apparently) and my usual style is paired-back and classy. Somehow, the wedding machine has got into my head and I’m starting to think i should have got a strapless ballgown with more poof….despite the fact I remember not feeling comfortable in them at the time. Someone help me… have I gone too boring?

We need pics of you in the dress! For what it’s worth, I can’t see why you’re concerned. The dress is elegant and lovely. I think your FI will be blown away when he sees you.

You’ll know it’s the one when you put it on again! I did the same thing waiting for mine and just knew going to my first fitting that I would hate it, but when I put it on I remembered just why I picked it and fell in love all over again. I’m sure you will too so don’t stress and get to that shop and put it back on!! 🙂

Also, that dress is so classy and gorgeous and sounds like it fits what you and your FI vision to a T!

It’s so gorgeous. Your fi probably doesn’t know the difference between one dress and another. That lace is subtle and the back is amazing.

I think it’s normal that if you’ve still been seeing wedding dresses over the ordering period that you might have some second guessing. But I bet when you try it on again you’ll remember why you loved it to begin with and fall in love all over again.

I thinnk it’s beautiful. It’s definitely not boring.

I love it! It’s so beautiful! I also agree that once you try it on again, you’ll see that this is the one and you made the right decision.

Thanks for all your supportive comments 🙂 I’m not someone who loves the spotlight, so whilst I’m super excited to get married I think being aware of how much focus will be on me is maybe just a bit overwhelming.

A beautiful elegant dress , the very antithesis of boring and sounds exactly your style, HE of course will love it anyway so put lace and poof and tulle and all out of your mind .!
FWIW, I don’t think it needs that belt, or any belt .

elderbee : agree 110% regarding the belt. Don’t do the belt with this dress seriously. It looks odd at the back and doesn’t go IMO. BUT!!! THIS DRESS IS GORGEOUS!!! Don’t second guess your decision…you loved it and you will again I promise. Have faith. Omg I struggled with dress regret SO MUCH!!! I went and tried on other dresses after I had ordered it and everything. Then at my fitting I was even more unsure because I couldn’t imagine how it would look pinned…..and then….I went to collect my dress a ball of nerves and POW!!!! I FELT AMAZING!!!
Trust your initial instinct bee. You’ll knock his socks off xx
