with in the past 2 weeks I have dropped 8 lbs just by not eating after 6:00, drastically reducing the number of carbs I am eating, and exercising 3-4 times a week. Literally the weight melted off. I have some to loose, but not a whole lot.

@sbharkness83: Wow, congrats! I’ve lost 2 lbs in two weeks and I was all proud, lol.

@Sah: Do you know how much weight you need to lose? And what area on your body is the issue? My stomach has always been my weight issue, so I would look up specific exercises to cut the pounds there, and cut back on foods that really add to the stomach. So maybe use that logic for whatever area you need?

@Sah:  I lost weight for my wedding, gained it all plus some after, and have been walking everyday … just adding in the walking seems to be helping.  I go all over every street in my neighborhood and back (so I cover them twice).  It’s not so boring b/c you get to see other people along the way.

@Sah:  You’re welcome!  Please, nobody jump on me for this… but I WISH I could gain weight in my bust… everything goes to my middle.

i started zumba, i’ve lost 9lbs in 2 weeks i’m on the bigger side to begin with and my weight shifts a little easier at first, but it’s really fun and i only do about 45 minutes a day. i’ve cut out caffine and drink lots of water. in total i’ve lost 23 lbs since i started doing zumba (8 weeks ago) and made some simple changes to my eating habbits, the not eating after 6pm rule has help i believe too.

Well, duh (to myself)… I just realized I only mentioned what I’m doing post-wedding.  Pre-wedding I was around 180ish (I don’t use scales), wanted to get to 130ish (or to where my dress had a waist)… I cut out all sweets, drank only water and 2% milk, oatmeal (reduced sugar) for breakfast w. coffee, cottage cheese (reduced fat) snack, sometimes added a banana, boiled chicken seasoned w/ salt-free herb mix, green beans and brown rice.  I literally ate the same thing everyday (so boring) and kept the portions smaller than usual.  It sucked.  If I had a really strong craving for sweets, I took a bite of peanut-butter and waited to see if it would die down.  Keeping myself hydrated helped too.  So I did that, with the power-walking and was somewhere around 140ish for the day of.
