OK, I need some input fellow bees! My original wedding date was August 17th. We had to bump it up to July 6th now. I know I have to get my dress asap!
I have found a couple i really like, but haven’t really got that feeling. I have looked at 2 places and really like the people at one particular store. The owner is wonderful to work with and I want to order my dress from her. My bridesmaid dresses are from there. And they received a discount because I will be ordering my dress from there. Only problem is, she doesnt keep a lot in store. I would say I have tried on 10-15. She said if I was going to “order” one I would need to this week. She can pretty much order anything, and found some I like online. But I dont want to order them if I can’t try them on. She said I can buy any that she has in the store, at any time just not order. Do I take that risk, hoping there is something I like and in the store?? I feel like I want to try on more dresses to see if I get that “wow” feeling. Does that moment really happen????
Should I look more and go back to see if she can order it in time?? What should I do??

I’m not sure if that moment does exist – I’m still searching for my dress! What I do know is that if you don’t feel excited about those dresses at all, then I would continue to look for alternatives.

Keep looking i found mine and had that moment. Now i did end up buying my first a year before and loved it. But by june i knew i could wear it. For one it was so heavy and had a train. So i sold it and found a much simplir chiffon dress. Loved that one even more Good Luck.

@jess0903: I was having a case of dress selection anxiety earlier this week. I went to 4 shops and tried on about 28 dresses. There were so many gorgeous gowns, and a surprisingly large number of them looked pretty good on my body.
At the second bridal shop, I cried over one dress. My mom cried over it as well. It was the first dress I tried on there. I tried on others, then came back to that one. (That’s when we both cried.)
I continued looking at other dresses, even finding several that I really liked. But I couldn’t get the aforementioned dress out of my mind. I finally went back to try that dress back on yesterday afternoon with my mom and future mother-in-law present. I started crying almost immediately after putting it back on. It just felt so perfect and right.
Needless to say, I bought that dress! I know that many Bees have said they didn’t have “that moment” with their dress, but I definitely believe it exists. I didn’t think I’d feel like that about a wedding dress, but I’m so glad I did … It made the final decision very clear.
If I were you, I’d probably try at least another shop or two. If you still don’t find something that makes you feel amazing and perfect, go to the shop you’d really like to buy from. Try on everything within your budget and see what works. I’m confident you can find a dress you love, but don’t worry too much if you don’t have “that moment.”

@jess0903: You will, and you’ll feel like the most beautiful girl in the world when you put it on. I know that sounds cliche, but that’s exactly how I felt. It’s amazing!

I found my dress yesterday! I was so excited! It’s a Maggie Sottero and not the style I originally wanted. But I LOVE IT. At first, I was really ify. It originall had straps, but they are altering it to a deep sweetheart. As soon as I asked if it could be , she pulled down and pinned it. Immediate reaction. LOVED it…it completely changed the look of the dress. I said, this is my favorite. I didn’t cry, but my best friends teared up. And it was everyones favorite!! So, i guess you really do know!
